Marissa Marcel: What’s the problem?

IMMORTALITY, an interactive trilogy created by Sam Barlow (creator of Her Story) which is known as “Immortality”. Use the cinematic ability to move from scene to stage to uncover a rich collection of footage that was discovered from the three lost films made by Marissa Marcel and traverse decades of cinematic history.

1968

Alan Fischer directs Ambrosio his adaptation of M. G. Lewis’s infamous Gothic book The Monk. Unknown Marissa Marcel plays the role of Matilda.

1970

John Durick wrote Minsky, his film with Marcel as his inspiration. Minsky is set within New York City and concerns the murder of the artist. Marissa plays the role as the muse who was murdered.

1999

Marcel Durick and Marcel Durick pair up for Marcel’s last show after an extended absence. The film Two of Everything is a subversive film that examines the ambiguity between a popular celebrity and her duplicate.

These films never ever released. They were believed to be lost or destroyed. Until now.
